  5.                        Chromatiks Submission Information
  6.                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  8.      Chromatiks is  a bimonthly music disk publication dedicated to spread-
  9.      ing music  from all  different demo  groups, all  over the  world.  Of
  10.      course, we  need submissions  for that  to happen.   So far, musicians
  11.      from Future  Crew, Sonic,  Progrex, Unexpected,  and other groups have
  12.      already submitted  music.   Join them!   All you have to do is send us
  13.      some music,  along with  some informational  text to go along with it.
  14.      When we  get your  tune, it  will be evaluated; if it is good, it will
  15.      enter its place in line to go onto a Chromatiks volume.

  17.      Songs may be in any of the following formats:
  18.  
  19.           MOD       4, 6, or 8 channel Protracker/Fastracker module
  20.           STM       Scream Tracker 2 module
  21.           S3M       Scream Tracker 3 module
  22.           MTM       MultiTracker module
  23.           669       Composd 669 module

  25.      Important notes to keep in mind:

  27.           -    If you  are composing  an MTM  or 669  song, please use
  28.           samples 64K or less in size; this is so people without a GUS
  29.           can hear your music.
  30.  
  31.           -    Chromatiks supports  panning commands,  so feel free to
  32.           use them!   You  can either  use the  quasi-Protracker "8xx"
  33.           (64-level)  or "E8x" (8-level) panning commands.  If you are
  34.           composing in  Scream Tracker  3, use  "X data"  for 64-level
  35.           panning or "S8 data" for 8-level panning.

  37.           -    Independents:   If you're  not in a group, feel free to
  38.           submit anyway!   Chromatiks  is not  limited  to  people  in
  39.           groups.   In fact,  many people were able to join groups be-
  40.           cause of  the spread of their music (U4IA, or Maruku Barunu,
  41.           for example).

  71.      If you  submit more than one tune, only one of them can be in any ver-
  72.      sion of Chromatiks.  This means that if you submit 3 tunes, and two of
  73.      them are  good, they  will both be featured in future volumes of Chro-
  74.      matiks; they just won't be in the *same* volume.

  76.      You can  submit tunes  by either  mailing them on a disk to us, or via
  77.      email.  Tunes sent by email must be uuencoded and split into chunks of
  78.      60K or  less.  (If you need a "splitting" and "uuencoding" utility for
  79.      DOS, I  can send  you one.)   If  you wish  to submit a file via other
  80.      means, such  as an  ftp site,  email one  of us  in advance  so as  to
  81.      coordinate our plans.  Here's where to send submissions:
